Post Operative Care
Your comfort and recovery are important to us. Following these post-operative care instructions will help you heal properly after your dental procedure and reduce the risk of complications. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office.
What to Expect After Your Procedure
It is normal to experience some of the following after dental treatment:
- Difficulty opening your mouth fully for a few days
- Tenderness or discomfort
- Swelling around the treatment area
- Mild bleeding or oozing
Be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Caring for the Treatment Area
- Apply an ice pack to the outside of your face for 20 minutes at a time to help reduce swelling.
- Avoid touching the treatment area with your fingers or tongue.
- Rest and avoid strenuous physical activity.
- Do not rinse vigorously or drink through a straw.
